2025 APEC KOREA: A Decade of APEC in Motion    

    Hey there! 👋 I’m Endry, and I’m beyond honoured to be part of the 2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do SNS Supporters and have a chance to introduce 2025 APEC KOREA.🇰🇷🌏 It's such an exciting opportunity to experience this major event firsthand—and before I share my personal stories and behind-the-scenes moments later, I thought it’d be great to give a little background on what APEC is all about. And lucky me (and us!), my home country Indonesia proudly hosted APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting back in 2013, so this journey feels extra close to home.

    Let’s rewind to where it all started for me—and where APEC stood a decade ago. From 2013 to 2025, this is how APEC has grown, shifted, and transformed over the years.

🌴 2013 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting: Rebuilding Hope After Crisis

    Back in 2013, the world was still recovering from the 2008 global financial crisis. Economic leaders of APEC gathered in Bali, Indonesia under the theme “Resilient Asia-Pacific, Engine of Global Growth.” The focus was on bouncing back—stronger and smarter. They worked on:

• Revitalising trade and investment to meet the region’s economic goals.
• Empowering small businesses, women, and improving healthcare access to ensure growth was inclusive.
• Boosting regional connectivity, both physical and digital, to bridge gaps between economies.

🌸 2025 APEC KOREA: Bridging the Future

    Fast forward to 2025, and here we are in Gyeongju, South Korea—a place known for its deep connection to ancient heritage, where tradition and modernity blend beautifully. It’s a perfect backdrop for 2025 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.

    This year’s theme is “Bridge, Business, Beyond,” reflecting the region’s shift toward future-focused cooperation:

• Bridging differences between economies, technology, and generations.
• Driving sustainable business growth across borders.
• Looking beyond present challenges to build a smarter, greener tomorrow.

✨ My Thoughts as an International Student

    As an international student living in Korea, 2025 APEC KOREA feels especially meaningful. It’s not just a meeting of leaders—it’s about shaping the kind of world my generation will live and work in. The topics on the table—digital tech, sustainability, inclusivity—are things I think about every day as I study, work part-time, and dream about my future.

    Being part of this event makes me feel proud, inspired, and hopeful. It’s a reminder that even as students, we’re part of something bigger. 🌍✨
